Creating leaderboards

Learn how to create and manage leaderboards in your Domino portal to track points and recognize top community members across campaigns.

  • You need a Domino account with a community and portal already set up

  • Access to the portal's Leaderboards section in Domino

Overview

Leaderboards in Domino allow you to track, display, and celebrate your community's top performers. You can create multiple leaderboards to organize points and rankings across different campaigns, events, or criteria.

This guide explains how to create, edit, and manage leaderboards, and how to view detailed rankings and recent activity.

Creating a Leaderboard

To create a new leaderboard:

  1. Go to the Leaderboards section in your Domino portal.

  2. Click the Create Leaderboard button.

  3. Enter a name and description for your leaderboard.

  4. Click Create to save.

You can create as many leaderboards as you need, each with its own name and description.

Expected Outcome

Your new leaderboard will appear in the list, ready to track points as users participate in quests and activities.

Managing Leaderboards

Editing a Leaderboard

To edit a leaderboard:

  1. Click the Edit button (pencil icon) on the leaderboard card.

  2. Update the name or description as needed.

  3. Click Update to save your changes.

Deleting a Leaderboard

To delete a leaderboard:

  1. Click the Delete button (trash icon) on the leaderboard card.

  2. Confirm the deletion in the dialog. Warning: This action cannot be undone and all points will be removed.

Viewing Leaderboard Details

Click on any leaderboard to view detailed rankings and recent activity:

  • Top Users: See the top participants and their point totals

  • Recent Activity: View a log of recent point changes, including who earned points, how many, and when

Points are automatically tracked as users complete quests and earn rewards. The leaderboard updates in real time to reflect the latest standings.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with leaderboards:

  • Leaderboard not updating: Refresh the page or check if new points have been awarded

  • Cannot create or edit: Ensure all required fields (name, description) are filled

  • Accidental deletion: Deleted leaderboards and their points cannot be recovered
